Dava Klirsfeld, M.D. is a Board Certified Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases specialist. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a BA in Chemistry in 1981. She attended SUNY Downstate Medical College in 1985. Dava Klirsfeld, M.D. is a member of AOA, the Medical Honor Society. She did her Internal Medicine residency and Fellowship at George Washington University Hospital. She did her Infectious Diseases Fellowship at NYU School of Medicine.
Dava Klirsfeld, M.D. spent 13 years as the Director of the AIDS inpatient unit and AIDS program at Bellevue Hospital. She is an Associate Professor of clinical Medicine at the NYU School of Medicine. She also served as an adjunct professor of the Science and Environmental reporting program of NYU. Dava Klirsfeld, M.D. joined North Shore Infectious Diseases Consultants, PC, in 2003. She has expertise in providing individualized and personal attention to each patient.
Her special interests are Endocarditis, Prosthetic joint infections and spine infections. She treats a broad spectrum of infectious diseases.
